While Kung Fu is a blanket term for various styles of Chinese martial arts, Wing Chun is a style which was originally developed by a woman, as legend has it.
What Is Wing Chun Kung Fu?
Wing Chun is a simple but effective style of Kung Fu which focuses on low kicks and fast hand strikes. Its principles are economy of motion and minimum movement. So each move within the style is specifically focused on ending the fight as soon as possible.
Wing Chun was Bruce Lee’s original martial art, and is also known from its modern day founder Ip Man (Bruce Lee’s teacher).

Kung Fu Classes in Leeds
Our classes are in Bramley, Leeds at Bramley Baths, 414 Broad Lane, Bramley, LS13 3DF. We train on Monday evening from 8-9.30pm and Wednesday from 7.30-9.30pm. We offer a free taster class on Monday’s. More information here.

Who Are Classes Suitable For?
We offer adult only classes (over 18 years) and classes are suitable for anyone over this age. Wing Chun is a simple style with no high kicks, so flexibility isn’t an issue. Wing Chun is suitable for older adults because it is low impact and principle based. So anyone can train no matter their age. You only need a reasonable level of fitness to train and this can be built up over time.
